How To Apply
To apply for Transit Innovations Grant Program funding, please fill out an application online. If you begin entering information into the application form, you may not be able to save it for later completion. If you would like to prepare your application responses in advance, this document contains all of the application questions. UDOT will also host a webinar on date to provide an overview of the program and application process, and answer questions. A webinar recording will be available online after that date for those who are not able to attend.
Project Management
Local governments will be responsible for all aspects of project management, including procuring any necessary services, paying invoices, ensuring that the work completed aligns with the approved project scope, and adopting any finished products (as applicable).
Application Deadline
Applications are due by August 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered for an award. It is strongly recommended to submit your application in advance of the deadline. If you experience technical difficulties in submitting your application, please contact UDOT at the information found at the bottom of this notice.

Before preparing and submitting your application, we highly recommend scheduling a one-on-one consultation with UDOT Transit Division staff to discuss your project and address any questions. These consultations provide valuable guidance on aligning your proposal with program goals, performance thresholds, and evaluation criteria. If you have questions or encounter technical difficulties during the application process, please contact UDOT for assistance.
